My Fun Health (“we”, “our”, “us”) is committed to protecting your privacy.
This Privacy Policy explains how we handle information when you use the My Fun Health application on Web, iOS, and Android, including integrations with Apple Health, Garmin, and Oura.

My Fun Health is designed around a simple promise: your health data is yours.
We do not sell it, we do not share it, and we do not use it for advertising.

1. Information We Collect

1.1 Health Data (Only If You Approve)

With your explicit permission, the app may read data from:

  • Apple Health
  • Garmin Connect
  • Oura Ring

Types of data may include:

  • Activity + workout metrics (distance, duration, energy, heart rate, power, cycling metrics)
  • Sleep and readiness scores
  • Steps, calories, movement data
  • Wellness and recovery indicators

We only access the specific categories of health data you authorize.

1.2 Usage Information

We may collect basic, anonymous app usage statistics to monitor performance, such as:

  • App version
  • Device type
  • Crash logs or error reports

This information does not include health data and cannot identify you personally.

1.3 Account Information (If Applicable)

If you create an account in the future (for syncing or multi-device use), we may collect:

  • Email address
  • User profile preferences

No account is required to use core features.

2. How We Use Your Information

We use your information only to:

  • Display your health and fitness data inside the app
  • Help you track progress, workouts, sleep, and wellness
  • Improve app functionality, stability, and performance
  • Store preferences (such as units, theme mode, or dashboard choices)

We never use your personal or health data for marketing, advertising, or analytics beyond internal performance monitoring.

3. How Your Health Data Is Stored

On Your Device

In most cases, your health data stays on your device.
We do not upload your raw health metrics to our servers unless the app introduces an optional cloud feature in the future (which would require your explicit opt-in).

Secure Storage

When stored locally or securely transmitted between services:

  • Data is encrypted where supported by the platform
  • Communication with partner APIs (Apple, Garmin, Oura) uses secure encrypted connections

We follow platform security guidelines for:

  • Apple HealthKit
  • Garmin Health API
  • Oura Cloud API

4. How Your Data Is Shared

We do NOT:

  • Sell your data
  • Share your data with advertisers
  • Share your data with third parties
  • Track you across apps or websites
  • Use your data for targeted ads
  • Transfer or sell information to data brokers

We ONLY share your data with:

  • No one, unless:
    • You explicitly choose to export your data
    • You authorize syncing with a service you personally connect

5. Third-Party Integrations

Apple Health

My Fun Health uses HealthKit solely to read data you approve.
We do not write data back to Apple Health unless you choose to enable that feature.

Garmin

We connect to Garmin only after you authorize access.
We read the data categories Garmin allows under your permission.

Oura Ring

We access Oura sleep, readiness, and activity data only with your consent.

Other Integrations

Future integrations (e.g., WHOOP, Fitbit, Strava, Samsung Health) will follow the same principles:

  • Opt-in only
  • Limited to what you approve
  • Never shared, sold, or repurposed

6. Children’s Privacy

My Fun Health is not intended for children under 13.
We do not knowingly collect or store data from children.

7. Data Retention

  • Local data remains on your device until you delete the app or clear app data.
  • If cloud features or accounts are added in the future, you will be able to delete your account and all stored data at any time.

8. Your Rights

Depending on where you live, you may have the right to:

  • Access the data stored about you
  • Request deletion of your data
  • Revoke permissions for Apple Health, Garmin, or Oura at any time
  • Export your data
  • Opt out of any optional analytics

Removing access:

  • Apple: Settings → Privacy → Health → My Fun Health
  • Garmin: Garmin Connect → Account Settings → Third-Party Access
  • Oura: Oura App → Account → Authorized Apps

9. Data Security

We follow industry best practices to keep your data secure:

  • Encrypted communications (HTTPS/TLS)
  • Local secure storage where supported
  • No unnecessary data collection
  • No data sharing with third parties

Your privacy is designed into the app from the start.

10. Changes to This Policy

If we change how we handle data, we will:

  • Notify you in the app and on the website
  • Request additional permissions if needed
